He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. - John 21:17

Fun Week

Week was pretty sweet but a tough ending ... we had a bunch of baptisms lined up all over the zone and I've never seen it like this where they all fell except for one and it made me reflect back on the talk "but if not". Great talk everyone should read it! Yeah I do all I can and I show the Lord consistency whether in the good times or the bad to be grateful and to be faithful till the end.

Bday was this week that was fun, I worked with Chavey again that was great, we had a crazy week with stuff! The new changes from the worldwide broadcast we've already been doing since Prez got here 6 months ago so clearly he receives revelation and the meeting ended up a little bit anti-climatic because of it. We also had Prez come speak in our ward with the stake this week that was super cool. One of my former wards is being split in 6 weeks, super pumped for that. Also we are within sight now of a temple here according to the head coordinator of temples for the church. The work is moving down here and it's fun part to be in it. Surely the lord is hastening His work and you can get with it or fall behind but either way the stone cut out of the mountain with out hands is rolling forth faster and faster now!

The ward I am in right now. Prez and the stake presidency gave the promise if we work, before the end of this year it will be split in two. Also we have began to cover two wards in both languages now so double trouble watch out! I've been in this stake for coming up on 7 months and have been working with the stake presidency and prez in each of these areas and it is so cool to see this stake on fire! It will be a second stake within the next year and a half I'm sooo excited. So maybe a tough end to the week but there is too much going on to hold us down. Love you all but I've got to go to eat some valley food;)-

Sister Torres came to dedicate the new apartment with us.

Super dank taco place!

Dope Week!

So this week we had an open house, fun, but it was spread over three days and at times was a bit slow but who cares, we did as the Lord asked us to do:) We also gave some blessings this week that were really special. We are teaching the bombest fam ever. Everyone pray for them - it is the Garza fam, We are helping them to get baptized this weekend so everyone pray for that! She is a boss! She had a C section three days before church and we invite them and she says I'm going! If I don't go who are they going to follow? (her 6 kids) They are sweet and the wards having been stepping up to the plate to help them out with food and with clothes for the baby and a wedding - its going to be amazing! We'll see all that goes down this week.

Also this week we have the second annual missionary broadcast so I'm pumped to be trained by the prophets! Oh we also saw a dumpster fire and planted roses this week ... pulled out all my tricks that I learned from Mother's Day over the years for that one hahaha:) We might begin to teach in both languages in this area, tambien so that's going to be great! I'll take more picks this week, but love ya all!

Tie digging - the best p-day activity ever!

Closer to Christ

So this week was great, I have learned how to tell out the cartel from everyone else thanks to border control members lol. The ward here is awesome! This week is an open house and we will be doing a press meeting this week with the Stake leaders for it, that's going to be fun. This week we had a zone conference and prez as always blew our minds! We found some awesome peeps this week and got dropped by lots of awesome peeps this week too! There is this scripture from Doctrine and Covenants that I love that has been like our center for everything and been great!

Verily, verily, I say unto you, if they reject my words, and this part of my gospel and ministry, blessed are ye, for they can do no more unto you than unto me. And even if they do unto you even as they have done unto me, blessed are ye, for you shall dwell with me in glory.

I love this doctrine! So no matter what people do to me or say, I'm blessed because when people say no to me, they really don't say no to me, they say no to Christ. They are not rejecting me they are rejecting Him. And so every single time I get rejected I draw nearer to Christ! They don't say no to me, they don't even know me, they say no to Christ, but when they receive me, blessed are they and I because when they receive me they are receiving Him and we can rejoice together! So life is going great!

Week 2 Rockin and Rollin

Well this week was great, we had MLC (mission leadership conference) with prez and one thing he trained on was believing and so this week was full of cool miracles because of it. :)

We are going to a D league Bball game this week, is going to be great:) That's for you dad.

Cool story from this week. After having dinner with Bishop one night we left to go visit a member and we saw this van in the middle of the road with the hazards on so we stopped to help them out and to make a long story short we met three families out of it that all live right behind the church - it was awesome! They had been in the middle of the road for half an hour it was sweet to see their faces light up and being able to help them. There is so much happening down here it's awesome I don't have much to send photo-wise,  perdon a todos but I love ya'll and its going good:)

This is mija she was born when I was her DL and this is her daughter so my mijita,
saw them at MLC it was great:)

Good Week

So fun announcements:
1. We watched the new Star Wars and finding Dory these last two P-days, Prez is super legit.

Set up for a New Year's day movie
2. I was transferred (had a chance to say goodbye to the Ramos, Hernandez & Mendoza fams.

3. All the details: So I was called to leave La Joya and called to be a zone leader with my new compa Elder Gallegos to open up a brand new zone, the Hildago zone. So it's a new area, and we don't even live in the zone right now - they are working on getting the apartment figured out. We work in English in Sharyland in the brand new chapel, that is great. It is on the border and we almost went into Mexico yesterday by accident. Chavez is a district leader in my zone! Mijo is in my zone and half the zone is straight sisters. So I think the Lord is trying to tell me I will not have a son because this makes it so I continue to only work with sister missionaries my whole mission haha. It's a Relief Society zone. We walked in and it was pretty funny, they had nothing for us but our luggage, keys to a truck, phone with no charger, and an address saying go and do haha.

Week one was crazy because we only got to our area on Thursday. In the time we had, we put in work to do all that we could for the bishop and we got work done. He asked us to speak on Sunday and it was great to have that chance. Now we and the ward are on super great terms and we are excited to see this ward boom. So we are starting at ground zero and we are excited to see it all build up!

My compa is great, he is super chill and a wise man. yes he is Mexican. We had some great stuff happen this week but I've got to bounce so I'll fill you in more as we go,  love you all, the church is true, the book is blue, and Christ is a Mormon!
