He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. - John 21:17

Just Keep Swimming

Week was good, we had lots of finding activities this week and we've been working with lots of people to help them get temple recommends. We are working with several families to prepare to go to the temple and be sealed. Many men are working with us right now to get the priesthood and roll on to the temple. Started teaching temple prep classes too.

The car wash fried my feet alive, first time they've seen the sun in over a year and a half and they got 9 hours straight on Sat haha. My neck where I normally have a collar on my shirt was roasted as well. Spanish is fun. One week to transfers and I'll probs be getting a new companion. Probs should stay here in my area though. But yep life is well & the work is swell.

WEEKLY QUESTIONS:

1. Where do you get the crawfish & how do they cook them? They fly them in from Louisiana and broil them with lots of lemon, spices, garlic, oils, corn, potatoes, etc.

2. What do you and Elder Gallego do on pday? Usually we go to look for suits I almost buy them but then decide Im broke and don't. We look for ties. He does lots of shopping for watches and clothes and stuff and I kinda just tag along. Today he wants to get a suit, watch, shoes, and a new razor. Ima chill until 4 and we are going to play bball and that's going to be a blast because I just love playing sports so much that it doesn't matter to me what we do I just want to play. Mix in there a little cleaning and washing of clothes and emailing and that's just about every pday.

Boda, Check

So we had a fun week with lots more meetings. I can now say I am officially a wedding planner and a missionary because we put together an entire wedding in one day that turned out really pretty and they loved it. #lifeskills The Fuentes family had a great time on Saturday night getting married and they were baptized on Sunday. Fun background story too, Guillermo (the father) he had seen the other side of Heaven 3 yrs ago and since then has always said that he would talk with Mormon missionaries if they asked. Well for three yrs no one ever talked to him or invited him, till the day we walked up while he was washing his wife's car. Now this Sunday he'll be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! pretty dope. Brianna was baptized as well and now the family has a goal to go to the temple and be sealed for time and eternity in August. this May they are going to be going as well to do baptisms for the dead. I'm super excited!

We names him Kevin (from the movie Up)

Orale

So this week's been a good one. I don't remember if I've talked much about how we are working for a temple down here or not but there's a big need and if I've never explained why well that's a story for another day. But big and crazy things have been happening down here. The first ward I was in in this state has split and now those two wards are working to split again so that's great. This Stake has the goal to split and so we've been working hard at it helping people come back, baptizing some saints, getting people on family history and sending names to the temple, helping prospective Elders receive the Melchizedek Priesthood, sending names out to where they need to be at, helping people get active temple recommends, etc etc. So with all that has been going on the twelve have taken notice and have invited Prez to come speak with them and all the area 70's and explain for 15 min what has been happening down here. Also the head of the Family Search got in contact with Prez and told him anything he needs he's got it due to all that's been happening down here. So lots of good things have been happening down here and we are getting really close to where we need to be for the temple to come down here. This week the head of the church missionary department is coming down here to work with some missionaries this week and we'll be having a meeting with him on Thur. It's all be pretty exciting to see all the changes down here in the valley. Also the Fuentes fam is looking at getting married this Sat and baptized on Sunday and Brianna is finally going down too so that's super exciting! Sam blessed the sacrament with his son this week and should be receiving the Melchizedek priesthood soon. The Zone has been doing incredibly well recently too so that's been wonderful. Not much else to say besides the work is alive and it's all God's doings. Take care fam! and Happy Easter

Another Dime, Another Dollar

My camera died this week so I'm dependent on my compa for pics, hehe. This week was swell I loved the messages from General Conference and can't wait to hear them announce the Texas McAllen Temple!! I hope everyone had the chance or will watch all the sessions!

We have been having a great time teaching this family named the Fuentes family. They have two sons with just about every disability in the book and they are just great!  The mom had her dad pass away last month and and two children pass at birth. Just before we found them, the father of the family had watched The Other Side of Heaven on TV and knew exactly who we are when we walked up to talk to him. They came to GC and seemed to have really enjoyed it. I really don't have anything to report so see ya next week!

Cool cars everywhere!

Caught this one for my grandpa & Brother Hall :)
