Hola Hola

Well Dora was baptized this week and she is super excited to start doing some family history for her son who passed away a number of months ago. Brianna wants to be baptized on Easter so we'll see what we can do to help her out. Miracles just keep on raining down here in Texas. 

The scripture I've been thinking alot about this week is Moses 1:39 For behold, this is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. 

Not only is the glory only the Father's but so is this work. I know that everything that has been happening down here has been because of Heavenly Father and His desires to bring His children home. I know the Savior invites all men everywhere to repent and come unto Him and in the end that is all the Father is concerned with - helping us, His children, return. I don't really know what else to say besides that God's plan is a glorious one and that He is full of mercy and understands us so well. I'm grateful for Him being a friend that allows us to grow and walks the path before us and with us. I love this song in Spanish, in English it's pretty good too, but feel free to read it and ponder it this week with me:)

Good Week

Well this week we had a zone meeting and we've had so many meetings recently in the church that we decided to move it outside and hold the meeting in this park which was pretty fun and way more enjoyable then then regular chapel venue. 

We had transfer calls and I'm staying with my compa. This brakes the curse for me. This is finally my second area I've been in for longer than two transfers. We are sending two sisters home and getting four new ones to the zone and we are absorbing a district in Rio Grande which will be adding another six elders into the zone so we'll end up being pretty big by the end of it. All of my living comps will again be back in the zone, meaning my son Newns is back lol. Looks like more exchanges with him again. Valdeezy is going to be my neighbor again with Rivera. I literally have worked with the exact same people pretty much my whole mission! 

Next week we are planing on baptizing a lady named Dora and then hopefully her family afterward too. We are hoping Priscilla and Brianna will go down soon too so we'll see what's up there. We found some missing less active members this week by walking the streets and passing out Jesus cards. That was pretty cool. Sammy blessed the sacrament for the first time that was awesome! He nailed it. Oh, we found this one girl, we're teaching her family now. We met her little sister at a friends house and later met her. Anyways her boyfriend is serving a mission in Fiji and she's never heard a single message from missionaries so we're going to do our brother a solid for him and sneak her down before he gets back so they can head to the temple from there;) 

I'm loving this area and the work is going great, love ya all and I'll talk to ya next week:)

Well Alexis and Jenna made the plunge it was pretty cool! Priscilla wants to go down so hopefully that happens soon and then Brianna can join the crew we'll see. Well don't have much to say besides the church is true, the book is blue, and Jesus is a Mormon! If you send questions I'll be more than happy to answer them. But the work's going well, its the last week of the transfer and not much else to report.

More Miracles, They Just Keep Coming!

1. I bought ice cream today so it will be a great week

2. We had so many meetings this week I thought I was going to die!!! 

3. God is doing some amazing things in the valley right now

4. Karim blessed the sacrament for the first time this week with Elder Gallegos

5. Some of our brothers we are helping come back to the church in Spanish ward are working on getting back to using or receiving for the first time the Melchizedek Priesthood so that's great

6. We had an area change with the sisters and I'm loving our new area. 

7. Sam conferred the Aaronic Priesthood upon his son Sammy on Sunday

8. Sis Caudillo gave the opening prayer to Sacrament

9. We met a man named Ken you is blind. When we first met him we read him a scripture about the resurrection and in that day how we will have perfect bodies meaning he will he able to see again. He responds by saying so you're telling me that I will be able to watch BYU TV and not just listen to it. And then we froze. I lipped to my companion, "Is this guy a member" and He lipped back "I dont know". Well turns out he has been to church way back in the day and he knew one person from the church. So due to all the meetings this week we lost contact with him and all that. However, come Sunday guess who walks into church? Ken, walks straight in for the first time ever without any help and just using his cane. So we are getting him the braille BoM he asked for and are going to start teaching him. oh and we hooked him up with his long lost friend Meme who was more than over the top to see him. She asked us where did you find him and we told her the street. 

10. Alexis received an answer and it was amazing! She should be joining the fam soon! Hopefully this Saturday:)
