He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. - John 21:17

Week 4

So this week we started a big initiative in our ward to index and baptize a stake in heaven and we're super excited about that. Also we met this one family this week that wants to come back have his son baptized, he wants for him and his other son to receive the priesthood and he wants for them to prepare to go to the temple and be sealed in the temple!! Yeah for eternal families.

Dulce is ten and she is already indexing batches not in her native tongue, sending names to the temple and doing family history work. #boomconverted

This vehicle was in a flood, we're working on getting it replaced.

Moving people & stuff to the storage unit.

Vehicles get retired after so many miles so we always have new cars.
We are getting a 2017 Tacoma tomorrow

Eating with Pedro Perez. They're killing it right now
in the gospel - they're doing so much!

Mother's Day

Well this week was another week full of adversity and full of tender mercies from the Lord. Asi es mi vida. We taught lots of peeps this week. frankly there is just never enough time to do everything I want to do in a day. But some highlights from this week are:

We are teaching a family and helping them get their lives together to head to the temple and be sealed. Well we met the great grandmother in the family and she is hilarious! She is so tiny now but she is so sassy it's like she's still a teenage girl and man does she have stories to tell. Her life sounds like it came straight out of The Great Gatsby but Mexican it is so funny.

After church on Sunday we had the beginning of a new group we formed to help a number of men all prepare to receive the Melchizedek priesthood and they were all so excited to be in that class they could not wait! It was great to see the brotherhood and brotherly love felt in the room. It was like they'd all been part of the same wrestling team for years upon years.

We also found the best friend of our previous mission president's daughter in the middle of nowhere. She then got all excited and began to snap the Maluenda family while we were on her doorstep it was crazy! Also we found a box in the house with years of photos of the previous aps and we found pics of Maluenda straight chillin in the house it was sooo funny to see that.

We had a crazy mother's day activity on Sat with the ward it was definitely Spanish ward style it was super funny to be a part of. Also not to brag but... we made an FB invite with our Bishop and the ward loved it, We got about 2500 views, not a big deal just that Google shared our video and everything;) We're famous now;)

Oh I went on an exchange this last week and finally worked with my MTC comp again Elder Stewart! That was super fun! Love ya and peace out girl scouts!

Mother's Day phone calls are the best!

Busy Busy Busy

This week has been great. Wednesday we spent all day taking care of transfers. That night we took all of the dead people (missionary slang for people done their missions and heading home) to Prez's house and they had their party. We took them all to the airport and it was weird seeing them all go home, all the people I spent so long serving with. Then we spent the day prepping for MLC (mission leadership conference) the next day and running around crazy. Thursday we had finished up everything and finally got a moment to think about our area. We then planned for it and spent Friday doing tons of prep work as well. So finally on Saturday we made it to our area for the first time! Our area needs a lot of work so we hit the ground running and saw lots of miracles all day it was awesome! Two good stories that came out of it was Jimmy and Angel. They both had been to church way back in the day and we went and found them - the Lord definitely making that happen! Long story short they came to church and next Sunday they're getting baptized and that's going to be awesome! The Lord has been really good to us. I'm back in Mission 3rd and also in Mission 2nd now and that's wonderful to see all my old peeps. But the work is alive and I've got to go! Love you all, peace!

QUESTIONS FROM MOM:
How is your first week as an AP? Great
Who is your new companion? Elder Lundberg
What's the best thing about him? He loves to work
Where is he from? Utah, from Logan
So what is a typical day now for you? Wake up around 4 or 5 try and knock out as much as possible as quick as possible to give us the most time in our area as possible. Go to bed somewhere around 11 or 12. But the whole transfer is filled with transfers, mlc's, zone conferences, interviews, greenies and dead people, exchanges, and lots of meetings with prez
Do you live at the Mission home? No we have our own house

Transfers Are In

Well this Sunday was just about the best Sunday of my mission thus far! To start off, I had amazing studies from the Book of Mormon, then we had the best ward council meeting ever complete with breakfast at Bishop's house. Then we headed to the Spanish ward and we confirmed some peeps! Then I sat down and on my right was the Fuentes fam looking great with Brother Fuentes all white shirt and tie ready to go, Karim next to them, Fuentes in front, and Ayala families behind me. We are helping them get rolling to the temple. Briones next to me and Brother Briones was in a new suit looking great and the Bishop invited him to go up and bear his testimony, he is another miracle story. The ward has been trying to work with him for more than 20 yrs and gotten nowhere and we were blessed to be a part of helping him and the Lord has touched his heart - now him and his wife are going to be sealed in the coming two or three months! There were other recent converts sitting around us and wow it was a great great meeting! Follow that up with Sharyland ward and the speakers are the whole Caudillo fam and they did sooooo amazing! They all have callings and are going to the temple and are reading the BoM at 5am as a fam and doing this and that and they're just on fire! They should be sealed soon as well! They're thinking in August, also in two weeks they are going to be going to do baptisms for the ancestors in the temple. Then I got to teach gospel principles and it was wonderful - recently the members have all been sneaking out of gospel doctrine and into gospel principles and so we meet in the chapel and the class was packed and one brother came up after to talk to me and gave me the nicest complement in the world. then we had combined third hour and Bishop gave a great lesson about having miracles in our lives.

There were several baptisms in both wards after church and the zone did wonderful this month! I've been in a number of zones to hit their goal but never in one to pass it and that's what the zone did this month and it was so wonderful! I felt full of joy like in Alma 29. President was at the baptisms and dropped the bomb early and told me I was his new assistant. That threw off our plans and then we visited people the rest of the day. All and all this area has been amazing and I've met so many people I've come to love. I'm still staying in the stake though hahaha, Probs at the end of this next area I will have been in this stake for 9 transfers! Life is great the work is alive and I know it's all God's work and glory. I'm loving being here and God is getting really excited with the valley great things are starting to happen everywhere! Love y'all and take care!

New kicks from a lady - not meant for basketball though. LOL

We eat tacos for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert!
