Feeling Hungry for Some Tacos

So with this week was the stake priesthood meeting and Sam spoke as one of two guest speakers! Boom, goals man goals. And I got to ordain Karim which was amazing! I LOVE stake meetings because I get to see all the people I've worked with and grown to love over the past year or so and it's wonderful! We advanced 5 guys that we had been helping in our ward and 25 in the stake which was amazing because in my time here I've worked with most all of them and so to me it was like being a proud father or something. It was so amazing and so amazing to see all the growth they've all made! I love you all we're going to play mud soccer have a great week!

Week going swell tambien

Well it was a fantastic week we had a great time and had a really cool miracle happen. We met with Maria's fam this week at last! So her family originally were Catholic and attended just about as much as everyone else down here. So they had been against us teaching their daughter. However they came and wow was the change great! They went from not being down to telling us about all the wonderful changes they've seen in their daughter, to giving us a gate opener remote for their place to asking us to visit their parents as well to asking us to come for Father's day to their house to be with their family to having us share a message and the entire family excepting it to the Father saying in the lesson "it makes sense, it's (The Book of Mormon) another testament, it's not saying it's the only one. Then to him saying the prayer and thanking the Lord and asking from the depth of his heart to know the truthfulness of this message! And saying how he already knew it was true from what he's seen in his daughter and thanking God for sending it to his whole family! Sooo dope!  So happy father's day to my dad back home and to my Father upstairs wow was it an amazing weekend! Love you all the work is going great and I hope ya take care:)

Last Week, 3 Transfers to Go!

So the Casarin's went down. Carlos loved it and is addicted to family history and indexing. Let me ask you this, what were you doing when you were nine years old? He's a stud! His mom was all tears this weekend! It was wonderful for her:) Her neighbor is wantng to be baptized as well and has been doing great! Milka their sister is going down in two weeks too and she's very excited. 

We are teaching a girl named Maria and hopefully her family soon as well. She is killing it she is on such fire! Her faith is out the wa-zooo. We were teaching the ten commandments and we were talking about putting celebrities as idols before God. (she loves Arianna Grande) and I made the comment you know its bad when you know more about Arianna Grande then you do about the scriptures and she said "not for long!!" With a huge smile. 

Another family that is doing great is Elizabeth and her family, however the fam had a rough week this week. Her baby is sick and been going through lots of surgeries. Then her other daughter ended up in the hospital for a bit too but they've got her taken care of now. 

The ward is doing great the head of Family Search came to check out our stake and our ward. We snuck into the top 3% of the world for indexing so that's pretty exciting. They're looking at getting us some more resources to speed up the work. Our Bishop took us out for tacos again with his fam that was super great. My new comp is Elder Pineres and life is about to get super crazy this week. This last week was nuts prepping transfers but we'll see what happens this week. Love you all! 

Transfer is Coming to a Close!

Ether 126: "And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith."

Amen. The week was crazy. Nothing could go right for us the entire week it felt like. People dropped, others flaked out others, it felt like flojo nation! Buuuuuut it all turned out good in the end. Half way through Sunday morning still nothing was going swell. We kept saying dang what a fat blessing there is at the end of this! Man this is going to be good hahah:) Well the blessings came and they came fast during the second sacrament meeting. It was the highest attendance the ward's had since it split - 150. Investigators came pouring in and we had so many great lessons all the rest of the day. Luckily I went to go check the youth class (the Spirit!) and the teacher hadn't shown up (she was in China) and so I got to teach the class which was a blast and sneak in the Restoration to a few of the investigators that were there for the class:) Just one miracle here was that teenage kids actually cared about what I was saying lol hahaha. The future Elders group was doing amazing! They all have one more class and then can go and get their interviews from the stake and they'll be rocking and rolling and good to go! Jimmy received the Aaronic priesthood and has names already printed off ready for the temple and is excited to go. The Casarin fam is looking to go down this week and are excited. They are going to start their family history this week so after they're baptized and confirmed they can send them straight to the temple. I pray the temple comes soon, the work is growing and growing and growing and there are so many that need the temple now! I love it here and it's GREAT! Take care fam and friends:)
